Trump Believes That He Will Be Reinstated as President in August
His supporters are touting his return to all who will listen
Maggie Haberman, a reporter for the New York Times, tweeted on June 1 that Trump has been telling people that he expects to be reinstated as president in August.
Wow. Just wow.
And he’s not the only one who thinks that. Sidney Powell, a one-time attorney for Trump, who unsuccessfully challenged the outcome of the election in the courts, spoke at a QAnon conference on May 29. She told the audience that Trump should be reinstated in office.
“A new inauguration date is set, and Biden is told to move out of the White House, and President Trump should be moved back in. I’m sure there’s not going to be credit for time lost, unfortunately, because the Constitution itself sets the date for inauguration, but he should definitely get the remainder of his term and make the best of it.”
And then there is the infamous Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow, and Trump sycophant. He claims that in August he (Lindell) will go to the Supreme Court with evidence that Trump won the election that is so compelling that the justices will have no choice but to reject the results of the 2020 election.
No word yet on what that evidence is.
Those are the soft coups.
Michael Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, is calling for a Myanmar-type coup to overthrow our government. In case you haven’t heard, the military in Myanmar overthrew the democratically elected government in February.
Flynn now denies saying that, but because he said it in response to a question at a QAnon conference in Dallas , it was recorded. This is the exchange:
Audience member: “I want to know why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here?”
Flynn: “No reason. I mean, it should happen here.”

Look, I know that readers keep begging me to stop writing about Trump. The problem is that I’m not doing it because I have an unhealthy fixation with Trump.
I follow Trump and write about him to warn you. If you have been reading my articles, you know that everything that I predicted would happen after the election has happened:
· Trump refused to accept the outcome of the election
· Trump tried to overthrow the government
· Trump moved to Mar-a-Lago and set up a shadow government
So when Trump predicts that he will be back in office in August and everyone else laughs, I pay attention.
I pay attention when his surrogates are telling conferences sponsored by QAnon, with 30 million followers, that Trump will return to office in August.
I pay attention when a former general advocates a military takeover to reinstate Trump in office.
Remember the insurrection? Think it can’t happen again?
Or how about this as a soft coup. Thanks to Trump’s MAGA candidates, the Republicans win control of both the House and the Senate in the midterms. With a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, Trump will have control of all the levers of power except the presidency.
And nothing is stopping him from running in 2024. If that happens, as I said yesterday he could win thanks to gerrymandering, voter suppression, his loyal base and his claims of a witch hunt.
I don’t know about you, but I’m officially scared shitless.
