A young Yoruba Man asks his father, “What is that weird hat you are wearing?”
The father said, “good question son , it’s a ‘Fila’ because in Africa it protects our heads from the sun.”
“And what is this type of clothing that you are wearing that has no arms ?” asked the young man.
“It’s a ‘Small Agbada’ because in it protects the body from where we are from and allows us to sweat well .” said the father.
The son asked, “And what about those ugly shoes on your feet?
His father replied, “These are ‘bata”, which keep us from burning our feet in the Sun.”
” Tell me,” added the boy.
“Yes, my son?”
“Why are you living in Canada so cold 5 degrees its snowing and still wearing all this stuff Dad ?”
