Tyson Fury licked the blood off Deontay Wilder’s neck during their heavyweight rematch and people are totally bewildered by it
Including me. WTF, Tyson?
I mean obviously do whatever the f*ck you like in and out of the ring; after all, you could end my life in one punch.

It’s just a little on the chilling side.

Maybe he’s a closet vampire. It would make sense, tbh; he never seems to age and he’s basically immortal in the ring.

Sorry, context; I’m just so perplexed by this bloodcurdling display, I’ve forgotten how to be a journalist.

Okay…

British boxer Tyson Fury destroyed Deontay Wilder in a world title fight in Las Vegas last night, ending Wilder’s five-year reign as WBC heavyweight – oh, and he feasted on him, too.

Following a particularly brutal onslaught on his US opponent, Fury appeared to lick the blood off the back of Wilder’s neck at one point during the fight, leaving literally everyone baffled.

Blood poured down the back of the Bronze Bomber’s neck following a particularly nasty right hook courtesy of Tyson in the sixth round. As Tyson held his disorientated opponent (seriously, he had to be taken to hospital after that wallop), he appeared to lick the blood from Wilder’s neck – and then smile.

Ten out of ten on the creepy scale.

The only clue we have is this harrowing statement from Fury ahead of last night’s fight:

“A fighting man tastes blood. I want to taste it, rub it, punch it, mix it up.”

I guess he meant literally, then.

Naturally, social media has lost it over this somewhat vampiric display of machoism.

One Twitter user said:

“This man is a demon.”

Another tweeted:

“Someone said fury took his soul.”

A third tweeted:

“The king is a Savage alright.”

Then of course there are the GIFs.

Following the fight, Tyson Fury told BT Sport Box Office:

“I told everybody with a pair of ears that the Gypsy King would return to the throne. My last fight everybody wrote me off. I was underweight and over-trained. I’m a destroyer. Not bad for someone with pillow fists.

“I’m a man of my word. I told Wilder, his team, the world. We trained for a knockout; we wasn’t tapping around in that gym.

“I talk like this because I can back it up. People write me off, they look at my fat belly and bald head and think I can’t fight. He fought the best Tyson Fury, we’re both in our primes.

“I expect him to ask for the third fight. I know he’s a warrior and I’ll be waiting.”
